In the world of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Facility Service Management (FSM), all too often we see organizations struggling with software that was once custom-built and then doesn't grow with changing needs. Customization may seem like the ideal solution at the start, but during the term the consultancy meter starts to run as processes are added or changed.
At Gfacility, we believe there is a better way to serve our customers. We believe in an approach where consultancy is not a revenue model, but where the software is so flexible that it always meets the needs of the customer, without providing customization. Here's why we embrace this principle.
1. A sustainable vision
Consultancy can be a lucrative business model, but at Gfacility we strive for sustainability and customer satisfaction in the long term. We believe that software should be flexible and adaptable so that it not only meets the needs at the start of the contract, but also throughout the duration of the agreement. If there is a need from customers that is not yet present, is widely supported in the market, this will be developed free of charge and made available to all our customers. This means that our customers are never stuck with outdated, non-connecting software.
2. The risk of customization
At first glance, customization seems like the perfect solution to customize software to the specific needs of an organization. However, this comes with significant risks. Customization can lead to complexity and higher costs. It can also make organizations dependent on external consultants for even the smallest adjustments. In the first years of the contract phase, the customer is often still inclined to accept these costs. However, as the years go by, it is often decided not to incur these costs anymore (we stop with the bottomless pit), which reduces the quality of service. Our software is designed in such a way that we believe that we can meet the demand without having to apply customization.
3. Flexibility without compromise
At Gfacility, we've designed our software with a focus on flexibility without compromising on functionality. This means that our customers are able to adapt the software themselves to their changing needs, without the need for customization. We have built in modules and configuration options that give our customers the freedom to set up the software the way they want, without any code modifications.
4. Time savings and cost savings
By eliminating customization and relying instead on configurable software, organizations can save time and costs. They don't have to wait for external consultants to make changes, and they can respond quickly to changing needs and market conditions. This also means that Gfacility can fully focus on developing new developments (such as AI).
5. Customer focus
Our approach enables our customers to have software that always aligns with their needs, and that's at the heart of customer centricity. We believe that ITSM/FSM software should be a tool that enables organizations to streamline and optimize their processes, without struggling with complex custom solutions.
In short, Gfacility believes in a future-proof approach to ITSM/FSM in which customization does not play a role. Our vision is based on sustainability, flexibility and customer focus. We believe that our customers should have the freedom to configure software the way they want, so that they can always count on software that meets their needs, both at the start and at the end of their contract. It's time to say goodbye to the pitfalls of customization and embrace what really works for the future.
